sorry about getting woke on my page again (im not)

- our story begins with our faithful hero having been dragged into a fancy party. His first line is essentially him thinking I really want to go home... Because it's Aesop Carl who made him go here

- he's new to the ulliel family so people are excited to meet him, he gets overwhelmed (with a really neat panel of a bunch of buttons staring at him to represent eyes that's so cool stylistically) and is like "sorry I'm drunk please excuse me" and rushes outside to go throw up or something

- there he meets rosemary who's a supervisor of ulliel but she's like. a ghost and ominously tells him for the sake of ulliel he can't run away and then [gatto's trailer says "become ulliels nourishment" so I'm gonna just say that's what she said it's basically the same thing]

- anyway Gatto passes the fuck out gets woken up by his cats (in his coffin which I guess he just sleeps in) and is like wow I must have been drunk last night time to go to work

- he finds that he's been gifted a research lab to fuck around in (there's this like eternal youth drug ulliel wants to make or something so he's doing that) and there's a letter that's like Here's all your shit don't take too long

- montage of that over an unknown length of time before Gatto accidentally causes an explosion in the lab oh fuck!!! He dives to protect the cats after telling them to leave quickly which is really sweet of him

- he's more concerned about the cats than his wellbeing and is like oh I didn't bring my gas mask to work. How unfortunate. He thinks he's perfected the youth drug though

- he passes the fuck out yet again and in comes noir who is an adopted son of the Melodis family!! He steals the remnants of gatto's fucked experiment and is like whew that was easy. This guy made it really hard because he never goes outside though.

- Also there's a shot of the cats climbing onto Gatto really concerned about him that's cute

- anyway fade to black i think they're gonna destroy the lab

- "Hey, wake up." (who the fuck is that) "Are you dead? Don't play dead, open your eyes!" (you're so loud...) "Hm, little cat, look at this fellow who's pretending to be asleep! Maybe I can wake him up with my electroshock therapy device!" (What) "3... 2..." "WAIT-" "oh yay you're awake!"

- anyway paradetective is here now!! I'm 70% sure he was bluffing but he did have something actively sparking in his hand so

- he's like "wow you sleep well! Hm... your hypoglycaemia symptoms are affecting you. Let's eat something!"

- Gatto only owns cat food and coffee. Para comments that he's probably worse at surviving than even him! And then goes to get groceries while Gatto so like oh shit right my lab blew up

- Gatto cannot find his experiment and immediately spirals into a breakdown

- Para comes back with the groceries and attempts to get Gatto's attention, asking if he's alright, Gatto snaps and accuses para of stealing it before breaking down and saying he just needs more time please—

- "HEY WOAH I'M PARANORMAL DETECTIVE SNAP OUT OF IT" "oh- investigator ? Sorry, I was confused.... I'm fine, just a bit exhausted....."

- para does not comment on how bad that excuse is but decides to distract him like soooooo anyway you wanna know why I came here? Here are some blueprints I made do you like them I've written you a bunch of letters but you never responded

- distraction tactic works

- while they're cleaning up para is like "Oh yeah btw is ulliel doing illegal shit? Everything here is so suspicious I'm worried about your safety" and Gatto responds by saying that ulliel are essentially the only people who have been nice to him after his horrible childhood and that this is his only chance. Which isn't a no but is worrying as fuck

- gatto starts spiraling again and defends/preaches about ulliel while simultaneously being very conflicted about all this in his head (which he tries to smother)

- para is like ahh I don't. Know how to deal with all that. Well I don't have any evidence but please be suspicious

- time jump, Gatto finds out about truth and Inference and is like I should probably get help from these guys if I am truly mistaken
