i hope everyone participating in art fight has lots of fun!!
Everyone saying that Starscream is a cat person is missing the potentail of Starscream being giddy about having loyal followers. Best case scenario he has borzois or huskies that match his drama and vocals. Starscream loves commanding others and dogs like to work. And Starscream can be silly! He would be silly and play around with his dogs. He would start out only liking them for how superior they make him feel, but then he grows responsible and protective of them and to respect them. Especially tfp Starscream would love dogs or the cybertronian equivalent. Also parallels with sky sickness and zoomies? anyone?
When it comes to him being paranoid/abused readings/headcanons/aus, he can get a working dog! They could watch his back like this
I miss American Gods seasons 1 & 2. That show felt like a warm hug.
Like even tho cronenberg has a lot of explicit homosexuality in his films (crash, naked lunch, shivers) still the most poignant homosexual storylines are the ones like eastern promises or dead ringers when they never explicitly say its love but its just told through head holding or obsession or hostility
Okayyyy I just completed watching Squid Game Season 2 and I have ✨ thoughts ✨ so buckle up guys (long post incoming)
Last season we see people being subjected to atrocities and that kind of inculcates a very anti-establishment sentiment where you humanise these players and blame the people who made the game, to put it simply.
Despite winning, earning money, the protagonist Seong Gi Hun ends up contesting the game again, this time partly to redeem himself and avenge those he lost. His tangible goal is to 'put an end to the games' the character however is subject to 'Heroic naïvety' where he sincerely believes or wants to believe that his cause is 'righteous' and people would see it that way. He wants to 'save' the players but in reality he wants to save himself from the guilt of being the sole survivor.
When there is a clear 'antagonist', the 'protagonist' has a clear opponent to blame everything upon.
Season 2 is basically the antagonist's attempt at proving his own point and making a case for his own beliefs that have made him keep the game going.
The show ends at the moment where all cards are now laid in front of the protagonist, his spirit is essentially broken. The protagonist that started off with a strong sense of righteousness and motivation is now presented with negative consequences of what seems like his own doing.
Hwang In Ho/ Oh Young Il's character does essentially what Oh Young Soo (the old man) from S1 did and plays the game alongside the protagonist. Only this time he doesn't lose ideologically like Oh Young Soo did. This can be seen as his attempt at understanding the protagonist's psychology, almost like assessing, how long before this guy breaks.
While I do not have any apparent predictions for Season 3, I believe the makers have tried to portray both optimistic and cynical perspectives of the plot similar to two realities coexisting. We now know the protagonist's truth and the antagonist's truth. Both perspectives are solid in their own regard.
It would be great to see how the two worlds collide in Season 3 and how Seong Gi Hun's character arc evolves past this moment.
I would love to hear everyone's perspective, thoughts, theories whatever you'd like to share, feel free to add your opinions in comments or reblogs or send me a dm whatever suits you!
You're in his DMs, I've put several fingers in his ass. We are not the same.
