Thank you for answering. I like Omellas' ideas about justice and vengeance. And those soft moments of intimacy.
May I be more curious? Eredar, Liadrin, Chromie.
Eredar What do they think would help to improve the society they live in?
I wish I had something deeper to answer this question with but after hours of deep thinking all I can come up with is “destroy the Alliance, the Horde rules all.” I mean, the Horde is not perfect but the Alliance refuses to acknowledge how deeply rotten they are. They are always looking for excuses to pin everything on the warmongering beasts of the Horde. Without the Alliance in the way, world peace would be easier to achieve. Probably.
Also, if everyone could just quit with the racism towards the Forsaken already, that would be a great improvement.
And stepping a little bit into Shadowlands spoilers, she believes that whole system needs to go.
Liadrin Have they ever witnessed something so powerful that it restored their faith or belief?
Twice.
The first time was in Gilneas, after Crowley shot Sylvanas. For a moment, she thought her world had just come to an end. Sylvanas was the only remaining positive memory from her childhood and Omellas had fought long and hard to be accepted into her new unlife—and suddenly she was gone. Again. One second she was standing there, talking, and the next she was dead on the floor with a single bullet to the skull. Seeing the three Val’kyr bringing her back not only strengthened her faith in Sylvanas but also gave her even more reasons to follow her and serve her—if these superior ascended beings were willing to sacrifice themselves for Sylvanas, it must mean she has a higher purpose to fulfil in this world and must be protected at all cost.
Then the second time was during the Battle for Lordaeron.
For context: Omellas has a complicated relationship with the Light—mostly because of her distrust in the Naaru. The way M’uru became a void god in the end, was the main reason why she decided to never attune to the Sunwell after they used his heart to reignite it. The Sunwell was no longer just arcane energy, it was infected with Light as well and, honestly, it just sounded like a recipe for disaster. And it didn’t help that Xe’ra tried to forcefully bind Illidan—with whom Omellas had gotten quite close with—to the Light. No, the Naaru and the Light are not something she wants any kind of relationship with.
Now, after meeting Anduin, she left Stormwind fully convinced he was too naïve to be King, too lost in his utopian dreams of world peace, too devoted to the Light to even realize the potential he has on his own. But during the Battle for Lordaeron, when the Alliance forces were being slaughtered, she witnessed Anduin channelling the Light into himself. She had never seen anything like it, the way the Light came down from the sky, creating a healing shield around his troops so strong that a shockwave swept across the entire battlefield like a bomb. While she still distrusts the Light as an entity, she has to admit that Anduin is not as weak as she initially thought him to be. Watching him in that battlefield, working as a conduit for the power of the Light, made her realise he is actually a worthy adversary—and it made her wish they were on the same side.
Chromie If they had the power and capabilities to alter timelines, what would they do with it?
(I answered this in another ask but I’ll just copy it here)
If she she had the power to completely alter timelines, she would go back to save her family and Sylvanas—maybe kill Arthas before he became the Lich King, even if she had to pay for it with her own life. If she could merely watch as things unfold without being able to change the outcome, then she'd go to the future, so she could prepare accordingly.
Bastion, Scourge, Paladin Marcus
Oh I didn’t think I was gonna get any asks! I’m excited! Ok, here it goes. Bastion Are justice and vengeance similar? There's a fine line between justice and vengeance. Justice is doing to others what they have done to you so that they can feel the same pain. Vengeance is purely about instant gratification. For Omellas, for example, justice would be not to kill Arthas, but to imprison and torture him for eternity just like he did/wanted to do with so many souls. Vengeance was to have the satisfaction of taking his life on his Frozen Throne and then stabbing his body 30 times after he was already dead until exhaustion made her stop. Scourge How would they feel if they knew someone was going to raise them as undead? Omellas would love to be raised as an undead by Sylvanas so that she could keep serving her. She had a conversation with her once about this, in which she told her that she'd like to join her Forsaken army, so Omellas hopes Sylvanas will go through with it once the time comes. But if she was raised by anyone else to somehow work against Sylvanas or if she was turned into scourge, she would try to fight it and/or find a way to kill herself instead. She would be beyond pissed off. Paladin Marcus Which ways do they prefer to partake in physical intimacy? Physical intimacy, whether it's romantic or platonic, is all about the little things. Actions that might go unnoticed to others have a huge weight for Omellas. Holding hands to let the other person know they're not alone. Cheek kisses so sweet that make your chest feel warm and tingly. Letting your legs touch when you're sitting together. And on a sexier note, while she likes to be a bit roughed up when things get hot, light touches are the best way to create a real connection—the faint neck kisses that make her go numb, dragging fingertips over someone’s side to cause goosebumps, or simply the warmth of someone’s breath on her skin can drive her crazy.
