That awkward moment

when you’ve been away from Tumblr for almost a year and you have no messages and barely any activity

Let me just ramble a little bit

Okay, when I was a kid, i used to spend days at my cousin’s house and we’d play with her Barbie Motorhome/RV for hours and hours. My mother was never able to buy anything that expensive, so after many many years of me asking, she finally got me a Susi’s Buggy and I was happy and all, but I still loved playing with my cousin’s RV.

Well, lately I’ve been watching a lot of doll recovery tutorials as well as makeunders and miniature foods and objects made out of polymer clay or cold porcelain, which I really enjoy sculpting with. So all of a sudden, the idea of having that old RV came to me, and after I found out my cousin had given hers away, I looked up online and found one at a reasonable price and decided to buy it and completely change it. I mean colors, clean it all up, brighten the acrylic they used for glass, the whole scheme! And then either keep it as a cool hobby and artsy project or sell it at a higher price for collectors or people interested in general.

So I went ahead and went to a huge gallery of crafting shops we have here in my town and proceeded to find a few things to help me start out my project. When the seller asked me if I was working on anything specific, I told her I was working in a Barbie Motorhome and was not looking for anything in particular, just checking out some stuff to help me out with the task. She was okay with it, but a nearby woman started laughing at me like this was a ridiculous idea, and I was really upset (though I said stuff like “there’s people who pay money for this” or something like that, trying to justify myself... just to make her stop laughing at me). Anyways, that got to me a little, but then I told myself I would make this a cool trailer so she would swallow her laugh (I don’t know her, and probably will never see her again, but still). And today it has arrived! I’m happy about it, it’s in great shape, I think I’ll be able to make a cool thing out of it. So, I won’t promise, but I think I’ll keep some kind of diary on how exactly I’m putting things together even if no one wants to see it, I guess I’ll just keep this here on my Tumblr, not sure which hashtag, but there will probably be one.

So, yeah, don’t ever let anyone tell you that you can’t do something! It’s still on my mind, but I’ll make sure to do my best to focus on my work. Thank you if you’ve read so far, and let me know if you ever were in a similar situation!

Beautiful Creatures movie

I watched Beautiful Creatures yesterday and I never read the book but I think I might! Aside from the weird southern accent in the movie's narration, the story, characters, actors and movie overall were really interesting and I had a great time! I want to know more about it now and I'm really sorry that a lot of people didn't like the movie, because I wanted some buddies to create characters or even Roleplay!
