In less than 10 days, I've written over 20k words for this Caleb fic and show no signs of stopping. I'm fine. This is fine.

But actually, yeah? I'm having a nice time but I don't feel frantic to get words onto a page before motivation and interest leave me. I think sitting with my love for the Mighty Nein for about a year helped. I'm sure eventually I'll want to put it up on ao3 and share it, but for now I'm just having a good time thinking and imagining (and researching).

I formatted my outlines and the snippets I do have for my next big fic project. I truly do love organizing information <3

Unfortunately, only one or two of you are into Critical Role, but I'm very willing to attempt to drag more people into it with me. It's a Caleb Widogast character study, as explored through his lifetime of loves. While I'm inclined to say it will ultimately be Widojest (Caleb/Jester), I am absolutely going to be kind to canon pairings and they'll be present. There's a small but non-zero chance it will end in polyamory.

The real question is this--do I post each small bit/chapter as I go, or do I wait until I have a whole big thing? Obviously, there's the chance this stays a perma-WIP if I don't publish anything, but I can see myself changing my mind quite a bit about specifics as I write more.

I’ve kind of stalled out in the fic I was writing. It’s probably partly because the busyness of the semester has kicked in (2 more months and I’m done with grad school!), but I’m also thinking it’s a little because I crave the feedback. The only other time I wrote this much I was doing a fic big bang and thus had a couple of cheerleaders, but I’m lacking that this time. So...I think I’m going to start editing what I have and slowly start posting?
