Checking me out to see if I had anything good to eat?
When I first spied this squirrel, he was peeing and eating at the same time. My attention caused him to run up the tree. But, he came back down to beg another fry from his source. The Mears Park squirrels are getting fat. I wonder if they’ll start getting all of the horrible diseases that humans get from our poor diet?
Mears Park in full regalia. Last summer they didn’t even turn the water on. It didn’t really bother me because I was too afraid to go outside.
Mask is back. I haven’t figured out my new rules for mask wearing, but most certainly I will wear it when I’m indoors with others. I’m fully vaccinated but don’t like the possibility of carrying and passing the virus to others. Nor am I keen on the possibility of break thru infections. And wonder what will the next variant after Delta bring? It never bothered me to wear a mask so it’s no big deal.
Salsa del Soul at Mears Park.
Annie Mack, Mears Park. I still have tears in my eyes from the Canadian fires, but the weather is perfect.
Pre pandemic Mears Park was center stage for the Twin Cities Jazz Fest with about 30,000 people attending.
