Meatsumo Panay Avenue Offers Unlimited Korean and Japanese Barbecue
There’s a new restaurant in Quezon City that promises a complete samgyupsal and yakiniku dining experience all in one place. Meatsumo Premium Panay is the newest unlimited barbecue outlet serving all our favorite Japanese and Korean favorites. Best of all, you can enjoy all of their 11 quality meats and 22 side dishes for only P549 per person.
You can find Meatsumo Premium Panay at 23 Panay Avenue, just near the corner of Roces Avenue in Quezon City. They had their soft opening launch last January 27, 2020 and will be open from 5:00pm to 12:00mn daily. The Hungry Kat was invited to a special preview dinner last Sunday, a day before they formally opened to the public. They have other branches in Sampaloc, Legarda, and Bacoor but this was just my first time to dine at Meatsumo, so I was really excited to try it.
Meatsumo Premium Panay has a very modern and hip ambiance, especially with its colorful interiors and cute wall murals. The restaurant can comfortably seat around 50 to 60 guests and each table comes with its own charcoal grill system that lets everybody in on the action.
For only P549 per person, Meatsumo lets diners enjoy an unlimited selection of 11 kinds of premium meats, from plain pork and beef to flavored variants like Pork Galbi, Spicy Beef Yakiniku, and more. These are partnered with 22 types of side dishes like kimchi, tempura, and karaage which you can also order again and again.
Start with some California Maki and Japanese rolls for your appetizers. I also suggest ordering the Calamari with Tarte which are crunchy bite-sized squid covered in a golden batter and deep fried.
Very few samgyupsal places can offer its guests unlimited servings of Ebi Tempura, but Meatsumo lets you have as much of these Japanese favorites as you want. These alone are worth the price of the entire meal!
They also offer Chicken Karaage and Kani Salad as part of the 22 side dishes you can choose from. This also comes with FREE unlimited red iced tea for each guest, but they also have a selection of sodas, Japanese beers, soju, and whisky which you can order for an additional fee.
But the highlight at Meatsumo Premium Panay is, of course, their unlimited meats that you can cook on the charcoal grill.
I first ordered a set of their Beef Yakiniku and Beef Bulgogi. These thinly-sliced strips of marinated beef are so good. Just put them on the grill and cook them depending on your preference. I like them cooked with a medium doneness while others like to have them charred and well done.
Everything goes well with cheese and at Meatsumo, you can dip all your favorite meats into an endless bowl of gooey and yummy cheese.
I tried some of the other more interesting variants like the Beef Gochujiang and the Peppered Beef. Both of these are very flavorful and you will find yourself asking for a bowl of steamed rice, which is also included in the price.
Better yet, ask for some Kimchi Rice to go with your Korean and Japanese barbecues. This is topped with a fried quail egg and is great to partner with all the juicy meats. If you want something a bit healthier, ask for some lettuce instead to go along with your slices of samgyupsal and yakiniku.
Thankfully, there’s no time limit at Meatsumo so you can relax and enjoy your unlimited dining experience at your own pace. Aside from that, each guest gets one serving of ice cream for dessert! We had the Cheese Ice Cream and it was the perfect way to end our amazing unlimited barbecue feast.
Meatsumo Premium Panay will be offering a special 10% discount during their soft opening period. For groups of five, they can avail of the 4+1 promotion for only P2400 that comes with a free bottle of soju. Guests can also purchase 10+2 gift certificates which can be used at any time with no expiration. So come and visit Meatsumo Premium Panay during their soft opening and satisfy your Japanese and Korean cravings all in one fantastic venue.
