I think people are starting to nitpick at semantics. People often say things that aren't what they mean word-for-word. Just like how Monty wasn't saying "haha you fans need to work for your queermances", I really don't think Neptune was saying "you can literally take Weiss off my hands because she's mine to pass around" I MEAN COME ON.

The people who read too much into this and that could stand to give the writers the benefit of the doubt. Anyone who goes into this thinking RWBY is going to be the progressive series we've all been waiting for is aiming for the stars and missing the goddamn moon.

If you read malice into Neptune's actions, welp, I don't know what to tell you. It's like people can't make mistakes; people are getting bent out of shape because they don't trust either Jaune or Neptune to learn from their mistakes. It's the same black-or-white Tumblr attitude I see everywhere, and I'm so disappointed in people for it.
