"Bana" redesign - Mecha Planet メカ惑星

One of 3 protagonists in a story I'm trying to write. For a reused concept from a few years ago.

The story is roughly similar to the initial idea, but it was a lot sloppier and nonsensical before naturally. So I made some changes.

However I definitely had to change her design quite a bit to fit my current style and preferences.

This was her original design from back in 2024 I think. I was going for a lot more of a chibi look, and I didn't have a good understanding of anatomy.

Also she was probably supposed to be younger than I imagine her being now. So differences apply.

But see here I tried adapting the old style/look to my modern way of drawing a week or two ago.

It looks fine I guess. But I'm not as big of a fan of the chibi look nowadays. At least for my own art.

And it might have been harder to take situations so seriously with this style.

So I went in again to redesign her to my likings, and changed my mind a bit about her personality. As well as half reusing this hairstyle I had designed for a different character in March.

I like how her new design turned out and expect more info about other characters in Mecha Planet!

(Note: her hair isn't actually green (maybe))
