It's happened again. Demons pouring all over the Earth. This time they've taken control of something called the Flux Gate and are using a pulsar to power their portal to the netherworld. Humanity's only hope is for you, starting on the similarly damned Excella outpost, to battle your way to the now-warped Earth and shut the gate down. Personally.
Mechadon made 2017 Cacoward winner Counterattack to take a break from Vela Pax, which was started so that he could take a break from Supplice. The moral of the story is that Harrell can't do anything without pouring every atom of craft that he has into it. MEK-CATK has four enormous, adventure-style levels and an omega slaughtermap to finish, with plenty of slaughter-adjacent scenarios on your way to the Flux Gate. If this is a bit much for you, then be sure to check out "Desiderium" (MAP31), which starts out more low-key.
