Meet Robert Anderson, S.B. '19, a mechanical engineering concentrator and the first student highlighted in our new feature, Humans of SEAS. ⠀ Why engineering?⠀ “I love to build things and solve problems. Engineering is the best way for me to accomplish both tasks in one concentration.”⠀ Favorite projects?⠀ “As my Eagle Scout project I designed and built adaptive computer stands for children at Schriner’s Hospital. Many of the kids confined in wheelchairs didn’t have access to computers to entertain themselves or connect with family.”⠀ Robert is also currently working on a few patents, has completely refurbished a 1970 Ford Mustang, and can most often be found tinkering in SEAS Active Learning Labs.⠀ Life goals?⠀ “Starting an engineering firm and solving worldwide issues. I’ll have the resources and teams necessary to combat problems.”⠀ Are you interested in being featured in Humans of SEAS?
