Divergence Online has held a special place in my heart for its ambition: it’s love of the old Star Wars Galaxy Era MMO and the true spirit of MMORPGs is evident, and Ethan Casner’s dedication to the project and work ethic are both inspiring.

As Divergence has grown, ideas have surfaced from the community, and one in particular is headed closer to reality.

Zambot 3! Zambot 3! Zambot 3! Zambot 3, go! Mechapocalypse!

Created by Yoshiyuki Tomino (Gundam, Brain Powered, etc.) and Yoshitake Suzuki in 1977, this mecha series started as super robot and integrated facets of real robot genre into the fray.  It is considered by most the very first deconstruction of mecha genre long before Neon Genesis Evangelion.  This is the series that helped Tomino's "Kill'em all" reputation before Space Runaway Ideon in the 1980s.  This special message has been brought to you courtesy of Mechapocalypse!  Check us out at Otakon!

Otakon is five days away, folks!

Otakon is a mere five days away, and so are two glorious panels from the  Anime Rest Stop panel group.   Mechapocalypse returns for its second year at Otakon to raise hell and take names on Friday while Skin Deep will be making its Otakon debut Sunday.  Check your guidebooks via apps, everyone!
