Hi! What are your thoughts on the newest route Johnny/David? I'm honestly kinda attached to them now but big oof bc this storyline is way more serious than any other on the app. I think I'd be interested in more complex storylines in the future, however I think it's a total 180 from the mood of the game y'know?

Johnny/David's route is very interesting and a big gamble in my opinion! It is quite a sensitive route with such heavy topics that are so relatable that I think a little trigger warning would be appropriate! (The first date had me a bit shocked and emotional at the end actually!)
I love that serious and real life issues are brought into the game, but there is also a risk that the game doesn't handle them in a sensitive, appropriate manner. So far, I like how the MC is written to support and be a source of positivity to Johnny and David.
Maybe my only personal regret is that there is still a romantic aspect to the route and some flirting. I think that Johnny/David are particularly vulnerable and from my perspective it creates an imbalance of "power" between them and the MC. But in this route, the MC feels like a genuine, caring and considerate person so this lessens my worry.
In a way, it feels to me like a do-over of Lexi/Izumi's route but trying to be more mindful about their vulnerability, with more patience, more supportive conversation and a bit less flirting. My friend also reminded me that Walter Fisher was another character who also suffered from crippling anxiety!
I also think this route is slightly meta like Steve Foster/Lars Ipsen/Zac Monroe's route was! I think they both connect and give nods to us as players and I really love it!
