New keycaps & deskmat 🌿 I love this colour palette so much!!
(keyboard is a QK75 with tecsee carrot switches, Osume mori keycaps, with an Osume mori deskmat!)
New keycap and deskmat day 😍😍😍 this morning I lubed the new set of tecsee carrot switches that I won in a giveaway a couple weeks ago! And now I'm going to be putting those in my keyboard with my new set of Mori keycaps from osume!! I also got a matching deskmat too! Should change up the vibe at my desk quite a bit 🌿
The keycaps and deskmat I ordered from Osume finally came in today :') they're so pretty!! The set is called dusk 🩷
Here's a before & after of my desk:
My keycaps came in and I'm so in love with them 😭
idk if anyone even cares about my keyboard building journey lol but i'm super invested in this now, i swear the past 48 hours, aside from going to the expo this morning, all i've done is consumed information on keyboards. i always have to go ham when i get into a new thing lol, my brain goes into intense hyperfocus and it's all i can think or talk about
anyway i just wanted to post the keycaps i ordered because they're so pretty, i feel in love with the retro look as soon as i saw it, and it comes with green accents which is what i wanted! pink too so i can change it up!!
can't wait to get all the stuff in and get to building!!
I'm slowly starting to understand more about building mechanical keyboards.. I found some gorgeous green and white keycaps, they don't restock until December so I still have plenty of time to figure this shit out before then 😅
This morning I've learned about "switches" and which type I want for my keyboard. Still don't understand what all I need to buy to build a keyboard. I think the cases come with stuff.. but I think I'll need to buy keycaps, those metal stabilizers for the bigger keys, and switches?? This is all so overwhelming 😭
a before and after pic of my crammed little desk area, i got a new desk yesterday and i love it so much!!
and.. now that i have more room on my desk, my boyfriend offered to give me his old computer monitor.. i've got it hooked up to my laptop now and ooh my god, what a game changer. i've gone from a 15" laptop screen to a 27" monitor, i'm so happy with it. i don't think i can go back lol. bf says he wants to build me a pc eventually so that's exciting. i've only ever had laptops.
i wanna get a mechanical keyboard now that i'm using a monitor, but i was looking them up today and got so overwhelmed lol.. if anyone wants to point a newbie in the right direction i'm all ears ⌨️
(edit: keyboard parts have been ordered, thanks to everyone who messaged me and helped me out ❤️)
