“I’m taking inorganic chem and physics not because I want to but because I have to. Not every doctor wants to be a scientist. Some of us just want to take care of sick people. I can’t help but thinking that medicine is more closely aligned to the humanities than to the sciences. I can’t help thinking I could learn more about being a good doctor from William Shakespeare then I could from Isaac Newton. After all, isn’t understanding people at least as important as understanding pathology? Well, no one is asking my opinion. If I want to get into medical school I have to take chemistry physics and biology. Period. "Ain’t goan be no Shakespeare.”

This book has been fantastic!! Highly recommend and I’m not even finished yet! This book has given words to so many of the feelings I’ve had over the past few years.. And it’s such a good, inspiring, real story, without the sugar coating!
Can’t wait to finish this! Now I have to try and not stay up all night reading this to completion.
