the NME's review of yip deceiver's album is hilarious. they gave it 6/10 and described it as 'funked-up oily synthpop'. anything meriting the label 'funked-up oily synthpop' deserves more than a 6/10.

ok so yipdeceiver talking about dobby's singing got me listening to medallius again

i remember the first couple of times i listened to 'world class pleasure', before i got the vinyl and read the lyrics, i thought it was some kind of gay love song because 'prints' and 'prince' do sound basically the same (especially with dobby's god damn adorable sort-of-lisp aaaah)

got to shut my brain up

and 'color me in' is SO SO GOOD like woah where did that even come from it doesn't even sound like anything else on the album

i can't wait for the video for 'lover' to come out, though... have a feeling that's going to be memorable.

i just wish they would come back to the uk :((( because otherwise i'm going to have to go to the US to see them and 1. i do not have the $$$ for that and 2. i might give dobby a heart attack?? i think i scared him enough showing up in munich let alone on the other side of the atlantic.
