It can also be observed in various other parts of life, such as history, media, music, etc.  The new Aerie advertisement falls perfectly under thing category because it is starting to transform how the media shows what societies idea of beauty should be. instead of tall skinny women with big breast, no curves and big bums Aerie is showing the women that "The real you is sexy" by no longer photos shopping and airbrushing there models. This is good because the more companies that start doing this sort of advertising helps decrease the number of people with body dysmorphia. Resulting in less people with eating disorders and depression. If this sort of advertising continues I believe in a year studies will show a huge in crews in people's self-esteem and a decrease in bullying.
