Congratulations Pupcake Fans

So every single online review I've seen today has mentioned how important it was for fans to see the kiss! It pretty much took all the headlines, which is good going for a whole 2 minutes of screen time! Aside from the usual sensationalist headlines, what was written about Patsy and Delia's relationship was positive and uplifting - as was praise for the fans who had a huge outpouring of emotion for it (can you blame us?) This makes me happy. It's gratifying to see a storyline get genuine attention rather than be a focus for simple titilation or be considered wrong. It got genuine attention because we supported it vocally. This has not always been the case - believe me. I know we aren't even close to a utopian world where differences are celebrated and where there is genuine inclusion. But every time we all yell out support, love and willingness to embrace diversity and inclusivity, we extinguish just a little bit more darkness. Thank you Heidi Thomas for including a storyline that is so important to us. Thank you Kate and Emerald for bringing Delia and Patsy to life so well and so convincingly that we are all completely invested in you. Thank you for shouting out last night! Diversity matters. Being heard matters. We all matter.
