I am so thankful. This monthly magazine publishing is no joke! I appreciate all the support, followers, sponsors and fellow Publicists encouragers. . . When Speakers Magazine started a year or so ago - the goal was to showcase and promote speakers that the media typically doesn’t hear about. . . As a publicist, my instinct to promote and coach the speakers authors kicked in. . . We have promoted events, shared stories and expanded the reach online and offline for the speakers that trusted that would we take care of their brand and do them proud. . . Both have their uses depending on what type of media you’re pitching. Be cognizant of who you’re pitching and stay constant all through your press release. Your release is eithe news-style or feature. Never both in the same release. That’s why you must READ and watch the media you want to featured in. 👀 In a news style release present the most key facts first and work your way from these facts to the background information. Feature style is magazine style. It has more story telling elements. You can’t expect things to change if you don’t change. And in order for change to occur you have to spend time and resources on making YOURSELF better from the inside out. I’m a big believe in #books and #programs but sometimes you need to take your behind to a conference, away from distractions and be poured into. 👊🏾 Yes, it will cost a plane ticket, a hotel room and all that BUT if you want something different, do something different. ⚡️Quit waiting on people to go with you or get a discount from the conference host. If you know in your heart you should be there or something keeps coming up in your spirit to connect with someone at an event. Get there! That’s God’s way of telling you to Go. God won’t book your plane ticket, you have to that! ✅ I always say, THOSE THAT SHOW UP, GO UP!
