Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.

This Week
"Stop taking stuff to the next level. Enough with the next level already. Make this level right." - MediaREDEF for Monday, April 7th, 2014 (Jason Hirschhorn for MediaREDEF)
Last week I decided to start blogging J Hirschhorn style (you MUST read/subscribe to @MediaReDEF if you want to know media), short bursts of thoughts du jour on life, business and w/e else is relevant. Read a book on the subway for the first time ever today, Danny Meyer's Setting the Table -- intro harks back to youth spent aggressively traveling around France in that romantic post-WWII era, not too long before my 20some y.o. pops was jetsetting around the world on Pan Am's dime. #Envy. Back then it was just rent, utilities and maybe landline.. on top of cable/cell/gym today some friends do Netflix/SpotifyP/CitiBike/Plated/xyz?! Constraints force creativity. Those meal subscription services are pretty cray though, college-me could've really used that training. Just realized how much of a joke spinach pasta is, and how little of a joke Wharton's Transportation concentration was. Did you know New York City has over 500 miles of shoreline? Cannot imagine what the East River will look like a decade from now. Wonder where the next ferry stops will land / lemme get on those dev deals. This will be the 8th year of planning to check out the US Open qualifying rounds, funny it used to be my one dream, now I have a book of em. Thinking about returning the favor and hosting CouchSurfers more often, that's a profile I can see outlasting longer than the others.
