That’s why I cherish out time we do get and the nights i get to lie next to him.

"Herr Soldat," the Medic called out, a stack of papers tucked under his arm as he caught up to the man. "Have you had a copy of the new medical protocols from the company?" As if in cue, he handed out a print.

Isaiah turned abruptly when he was addressed, a habitual response that he hadn’t quite kicked, even after years of not being required to do so. Considering he was very seldom called out to, adjusting to a more casual reaction took him a moment. At least he wasn’t accidentally standing at attention anymore and he no longer had the arm to salute. All things considered, he could have embarrassed himself marginally worse.

Looking down at the paper offered to him, he scowled and raised an eyebrow. “No, can’t say I have.” That was just what he needed, more company required medical bullshit. He shuddered just thinking about it, but in the end, really had no choice but to take the page.

Slowly, his eyes scanned the words printed there. It seemed like mostly pretty standard stuff, not that he knew shit about medical protocols. However, there were a couple things he wasn’t too sure about, a couple of terms he didn’t quite understand.

The Frenchman gasped softly, gratefully accepting the baked treat. “You don’t know how happy this makes me, ami.” The cookies definitely weren’t going to survive long. His sweet tooth was too strong.

“You have a blue car.” Wolfram is more interested in the choice of color than the crime committed. He has been out picking herbs from his greenhouse when his visitor arrived, a German Sheprador following behind him. The dog was on its guard upon the sight of the stranger, but doesn’t bark. The property is a bit of a drive from Teufort, somewhere with more greenery as possible for somewhere being in a desert. Sadly, relocation was out of the question. Mann Co. has him contracted here for an indefinite amount of time. “Well, come along then, and wipe your feet before entering please. We have other guests waiting.”

“For now.” The keys are twirled around his fingers, a replacement for fidgeting without a balisong in hand. Aside from the vague words, the small tennis racket charm on the key ring might answer the question of a stolen vehicle or if, in fact, the Brutal was a tennis fan.

Which he wasn’t.

As he approaches the home, there’s a cast of blue eyes to the dog as though speaking by visual contact alone. 21 would slit the beast’s throat the second it came at him. Otherwise the gaze broke away, conveying no more a threat than he had when standing by the vehicle. “And who are these other guests?”

The Brutal didn’t expect Wolfram to know much about him, let alone the need to set some form of trap. Regardless, hand slips into his pocket to feel the outline of the knife against his palm but manages it to look casual, an every day action to rest within the pocket.

Kidnap/Torture (ish) Sentence Starters

Rene shot the Medic a glare, eyes narrowed as he watched the man’s every move intently, his mind on high alert. He felt the blood soaking through his mask as well as his clothing, the pain of the wounds dulled significantly by the adrenaline in his system. He had faced far worse, that much he knew, and that was a small comfort. This was practically a walk in the park, admittedly, with far less sunshine, but he’d make it through.

The Spy gave a short, derisive laugh at the German man’s comment and raised an eyebrow. “Was that meant to be a compliment?” He asked, a smirk on his face. “If so, I suppose I should thank you. You wouldn’t happen to have a cigarette, would you? With all this blood loss, I could really use one.”

A small smile of his own bleeds into his seemingly dour expression, but disappears soon right after. He takes a few steps to stand by the Brutal, hands tucked behind him. The scenery is rather bland, but what is one to expect from a desert town? “You left before I could even serve tea. Next Wednesday it is. Casual clothes please. It’s probably just a small affair.”

The slide of metal to stone slowed down considerably when the man approached, apparent that even in this seemingly relaxed state the Brutal was more than willing to start a fight. He didn’t like when he couldn’t see someone’s hands. 21 knows that all too well himself.

“I’m not a fan of tea, so I’m afraid you’re catering to the wrong person on that.” A lie as 21 actually quite enjoys it. But gauging the medic is a touch more important to him than pretending to care about a tea party.

Casual glance at the man, hardly long enough to even qualify as really looking. “I’ve seem to forgotten to care.”

A smile breaks through the neutral mask of boredom as he goes back to sharpening the edge of the balisong. “Perhaps try me again next Wednesday. I have a habit of actually paying attention to individuals on that day.”
