30 Days of NaNoWriMo - Day 26
Was any research involved (historical or otherwise) in your NaNo prep?
A bit. Some that I'd rather not tell you because it is either 1) a spoiler, or 2) not something you would want to know.

30 Days of NaNoWriMo - Day 26
Was any research involved (historical or otherwise) in your NaNo prep?
A bit. Some that I'd rather not tell you because it is either 1) a spoiler, or 2) not something you would want to know.
30 Days of NaNoWriMo - Day 25
What are the names of at least two of your main characters? How did you choose their names?
I'm just going to name the ones I decided on on the first day of planning this story: Sebastian, Philip, Elias, Bernard, Clarisse, Bayard.
Since MedievalNovel is set in a time similar to the middle ages, I searched for names commonly used in the middle ages and chose from there. Sometimes meaning comes into the decision, but for this project I mostly paid attention to the way the name flowed, especially with Elias and Bernard, who are commonly called in the LORD Elias and LORD Bernard.
30 Days of NaNoWriMo - Day 24
Is religion featured in your novel at all? If so, which ones? If it’s/they’re your own creations, describe it/them and how it/they play(s) a part in your characters’ lives.
Not really to Sebastian or Philip, who are the two main characters, but some of the lords probably follow a religion similar to Christianity or Catholicism. The religion really only concerns the aspects of life and death and love and hate, but not really what actually happens in the story.
30 Days of NaNoWriMo - Day 23
Do animals play any part in your story? If so, how do they add to it?
Not really. I do mention animals, but they're mostly just scenery or, in the case of dogs, pets. They don't really add anything to the plot other than for visuals.
30 Days of NaNoWriMo - Day 21
With about 10 days left to this arguably traumatic experience, what are your plans and goals for your novel, should you successfully complete it?
Well, seeing as I have 16 projects in the works, do you really think I'm going to give this damn thing up and move on? NO!! I am stubborn. I cannot simply give up a project.
But I am far from the finish (my goal is 125,000 words).
I'll probably switch back and forth between other project and this for about a year or two before this project is finished considering its length and the subject matter. But yeah. Unless I can clearly see that it is truly a lost cause (I usually can't see one very clearly compared to other people), then I'll give it up, but it will nag at me until the day I die, I know it!
30 Days of NaNoWriMo - Day 18
Who is the antagonist in your novel? What drives their actions?
Well, I don't really like giving things away, so to be save I'll simply say the antagonist is the south kingdom. That's all I'm saying.
30 Days of NaNoWriMo - Day 17
In what time period is your novel set? Is it in this world or another?
MedievalNovel is set in... the middle ages, I guess, but it's in a different world from our own. Or maybe it's something like Tolkien did with LOTR and it's a past version of today's world. I don't know I haven't really gotten down the specifics of it yet.
30 Days of NaNoWriMo - Day 15
Do any of your characters have a disability or mental illness? If so, how does that affect their development throughout your story?
Um, Bayard, Lord Elias's scholar, has gone a bit senile in his old age. He always adds some comic relief whenever he pops up in the story. Other than that, there one one else, as far as I know so far.
