it kind of sucks being the dumbest person in your D&D game
like I don't mind getting all my off-the-wall suggestions immediately shot down, since I'm never particularly serious or attached to them (decades of low self-esteem have taught me well I guess), and they're usually rejected based on stuff I wouldn't know anyway, like literal years of exposure to D&D and its settings, good social skills, or common sense
I just wish I could learn simple-ass basic shit by rote and repetition like what to add to my dice rolls or how not to fuck up the nonbinary player's pronouns every few months
