Beginnings
In astrology, they are always somewhat interesting. Mine were too, and at the start, it didn’t even look like I would go down this path. But the Universe wanted it that way.
Yes, it can be said that beginnings and studies are usually not easy, especially for a soul for whom a brief and rather depressing description is truly not enough. I remember when I entered my "parameters" into a local website; at first glance, the "wheel" fascinated me, though at the beginning it was all "Greek to me." So I started reading those very descriptions, which were more like "you might as well jump off a bridge right now" (it's true that when I talk to other astrologers—I don't consider myself an astrologer, by the way, I just do what I enjoy, what makes sense, and what can open doors for people to themselves, just as my wheel did for me—they had the same feeling). However, several times I closed everything, opened it, and closed it again—a real merry-go-round. Until it clicked that it's good to approach it differently. And that different approach is what kickstarted me.
I always say that a person can put together their own horoscope! Nowadays, definitely. It’s enough to sit down, take a notebook (I’m old school in this and love the smell of paper), and start drawing your wheel, highlighting the "full" houses, and later the empty ones (full houses are challenges, while empty houses are never truly empty; there is the cusp sign, which is just as important as a "full" house, and the "intercepted" sign, which often gets overlooked. However, it’s often forgotten with empty houses that we have transits, and a transiting planet can wake that house up to life. We have progressions, the same principle. There are many ways to work with empty houses. Then we have asteroids and minor planets, so it really doesn't have to be completely empty. Often, the people we meet can have their planet in our empty house. I observe that these people truly come to help us activate that house better. Nevertheless, I say that an empty house is also a kind of house of rest, whereas a "full" one brings challenges, the empty one brings a certain peace and, in a way, the fruits after mastering the challenge) and finally; how everything communicates together, because they do talk to each other. From experience; even a separating aspect speaks, but through the subconscious. When, for example, Jupiter and Uranus met and are already in "separation" at birth, they said something to each other during that meeting, and a person carries that "something" within. Of course, one perceives and often sees applying aspects more clearly.
I went house by house myself. Yes; searching the internet, taking notes, and with that, a process began where I wanted to figure out what it does within me. How I personally understand the demands of a given house and planet, or sign. What does it tell me deep inside? It is a certain kind of therapy (sometimes by shock; let's be honest. Sometimes it’s good to face the unvarnished truth. For example, I know and fully accept that my relationships will never be easy. They will always be about deep transformation or even transmutation. About a certain power, but I’ve learned that just like relationships, love and power have their own forms and guises. It also occurs to me more that the wheel sometimes acts as a giant purifier or sorter. One just needs to listen to oneself and trust one's intuition) and meditation. I probably used my meditative skills the most during the transition from the tropical system to the Vedic/sidereal one (yes, they are a bit different), which throws me even more into the draconic system. Which is also the code of our soul; draconics are still teaching me. I believe the soul knows why it chose that interaction and that placement of planets and houses. The Vedic system brings dynamics into it (otherwise, they connect a lot for me, and I notice with many clients that I am no exception), and I find it very intense, which I personally appreciate.
Why am I writing this; each of us knows ourselves best. No one knows you like you do. An astrologer is only supposed to crack open the door to what is escaping you. What a person overlooks. To give an impartial view of you (us). But a person walks with themselves their entire life. Therefore, we always know ourselves better. So, a pen, a notebook, and occasionally facing that unvarnished truth. Learning to meditate, to accept, and to reconcile. Learning to make better use of oneself. To perceive oneself more and open page after page. I dare say that astrology is not hard; what is hard is accepting many things—like the fact that we are our own worst enemy, that a person often sabotages themselves in many things, and astrology can be the perfect tool to see where that happens, in what way, and most importantly, what to do about it.
