*me getting up at 5:30am for work*
{Such a pleasant start to the work day. Time to get focused and plow through some research.}
Breakfast made ✔️ Lunches Packed ✔️ Nails painted ✔️ 8 episodes of the Office Watched ✔️ House cleaned ✖️ (oh well, you can't be perfect...)
Despite the fact that I have to wake up at 5:30am, which is in like 5 hours, I am really looking forward to tomorrow. I'm going to treat myself to a fancy coffee, eat some yummy leftovers for lunch, work hard on my paper, shadow in the clinic all afternoon, meet up with my friend for dinner, and go to the gym in the evening. I think I'll be able to finish the book I'm reading on the bus too!
Today clinic was so busy that I had 2 bites of my lunch at 11:40am and I finally had the chance to finish it at 5:30pm. Then I ate dinner immediately after at 6pm.
I should be writing my research paper right now, but instead I am listening to Tropicália music and learning about the history of Brazil's government from 1964-1985??!??!!??
Today I had to go to the hospital to meet with my research coordinator to discuss our project. On my way out I bumped into a couple of my classmate who were there for an intensive surgical skills training program. It was exciting to see them looking so legit in their scrubs, but my poor friends were absolutely exhausted. I have a ton of admiration and respect for surgeons, but I am glad that I'm interested in general Medicine so I won't have to endure such a gruelling schedule.
