I use to “Blom” on this corner everyday after school or on weekends growing up. My grandparents didn’t like it cause we were perceived as thugs or gangsters. Gathering in a corner as boys was/is still perceived as a bad thing in the township, what could we be discussing? “Nothing good will ever come out from chilling in that corner”. We were just kids, really trying to figure out stuff through conversations and understanding our surroundings. This corner shop is called Kwa-Ndlovu (one on the far left still exist). Being dressed in your Sunday Best outfit and chilling in the corner was a “thing” back then, I really miss that.

I have started doing my walks again around Orange Farm, Soweto and Melville. Commercial work can be really stressful and monotonous, trying to keep my head up and keep doing the work. Arise and Shine. Show up for your part of the job, whatever that may be.
