As both the latin and common name suggests, this looks like a handful of snakes squirming out from a centre point. Found commonly in Cape Town where it resides deep in rocky or sandy terrain on the coast. Another easy care for the indoors, I used to use plant food but the supplier whom we have bought mostly all of our succulents from advises to just place them outside twice a year or so in the rain for 15minutes to get all the water and nutrients they need from natural rainfall. I am yet to be convinced, but once we've made it through a year I'll let you know what advice fairs well.
