Just had a long discussion with my dad on my beliefs and homosexuality.

Im not going to bog anyone down with silly things like details, but i will say that I told him that we need to agree to disagree. And that Im not going to try to convince him he's wrong with words, but Im going to prove he's wrong by living my life as a gay Christian. He is too far enwrapped in the fundamentalist movement (more like a tumor) that has been plaguing the church lately, and there really isnt any reason why I should waste my breath telling him he is wrong. Im going to live my life as a homosexual. Im going to live my life as a Christian. And Im going to show him that it is possible. He will most likely stick to his ignorance, but Im no longer going to worry about it, all I can do is pray he comes to his senses.  Ive taken a huge step today, and I feel really good right now. Ive confronted my dad, so far my biggest obstacle, and i told him that I was gay and that nothing was going to change that.  And then I grabbed derp dog, marched  out of the room triumphantly, and then immediately tripped over a box...  God has a way of keeping me humble.
