Would it be okay if I adopted a Curly and a Meek pair? (scenario pls?)

Sure thing!

You enter the adoption center, and are immediately hit with the loud hellos and vibrant colors. You flinch a bit unconsciously. You were here for quieter bitties. Maybe one or two that require special care and love. You decide to retreat to a nearby nook. A bookshelf rests on the opposite wall, with a coffee/tea station nearby for adopters to help themselves.

You decide to go with a hot tea to help you relax. When you get back to your seat, you notice you have company. On an opposite cushion sits a Meek and a Curly. What an odd pair. The Curlys tend to enjoy music quite a bit, while the Meeks are deaf entirely. You decide to watch them and see how they interact.

The Curly seems to be watching Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”. The Meek is joining him. They both seem to be enjoying themselves, the Curly’s hands moving as though he is playing along with various instruments, while the Meek is drawing something on various sheets of paper. You take a closer look. The subtitles are turned on and the Meek has drawn several scenes from the opera. It seems this is a favorite of his. The Curly is smiling and hugging the Meek whenever he shows a particular sketch he’s quite proud of.

They look up and notice you peering down at them. The Curly stands and gives a respectful half-bow. “It’s very nice to meet you!” The Meek waves shyly and clings a bit to the leg of the Curly. You motion to the drawings and mention how lovely the are and how you were looking two quiet, sweet bitties who were in need of a lot of love and care. The Meek looks very excited, squealing and laughing. The Curly smiles “We’d love to be welcomed into your family.”

any progess on the Meek? i know he was trying to communicate in circular gallifreyan?

Whisper is actually doing pretty well, to be honest.

There’s still some communication fumbles, his first instinct is to write in CG when he wants to talk to us and he gets frustrated when he forgets, but he’s helping us all learn the basics so it’s no where near as bad as it used to be. Al has been able to teach him a few simple signs for when he can’t access paper, and I think Van was trying to teach Whisper some kind of healing magic or something last time I saw them, but I can’t be sure since I was kind of distracted at the time.

Unfortunately, we still haven’t had much luck trying to find his previous caretaker, and Whisper has days where he gets really homesick and depressed. Those days, he absolutely REFUSES to be separated from me, and usually hangs out somewhere on my person where he can feel my heartbeat. I don’t know why he gets so clingy on those days or why being able to feel my pulse helps, but I’m just glad the down days are few and far between.
