Helloooo, i really like your art, any tips where to start drawing? like, should i just draw anything daily or are there basics I should learn first like perspective or will I just pick that up while drawing? I need a starting point or sth I guess, the amount of tutorials and all sorta overwhelms me :-/ ty
i know what you mean ;__; there are so many tutorials out there idk where to start….AH BUT HELLO THERE!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LIKING MY ART I’M FLATTERED!!! I’m not sure if i’m the most qualified person to ask about these things scratches head…..i’ll give you the best answer i can!! *___*)9 sweats
i’d say just have a balance of Stuff You Really Like To Draw and studies!! it’s really important to have fun and enjoy what you’re doing after all, so definitely draw the things you love!! (for me that’d be anime boy busts?? laUGHS…i really like drawing faces) but basics are really important too like anatomy and perspective and colour theory idk?? if you want to be well-rounded you should get a pretty good grasp of basics before you go crazy with stylization! for a good foundation you should do a lot of studies!!! nods!! whether it be from photos or from real life….suck at hands?? draw 10 pages of ur hand in a million different angles!! poop at colours?? stare at pretty colourful photos or landscapes and try to blob out the colours!! make palettes of colours that look nice together! they don’t have to be refined, you’re just practicing so eventually you really get a good sense for these things!! eyes glint +___+) the magic of IMPROVEMENT!!! it is for yourself so do not stress….(i need to do more studies myself!! i use stuff like posemaniacs and my photography tag) and if you like some things your fave artists do, take some elements from their work and merge them into your own style!!! (for example i like to draw mouths and blushes similar to Jaryuu Dokuro…..and I like how Soonkki draws face shapes and eyes!)
TL;DR if you’re starting out i think it’s the most important to draw things that interest and inspire you and make you feel good! if you wanna get better, pinpoint the areas you’re weak in….and do a whole buncha studies!! keep it loose don’t be too tense about practicing…..KEEP DRAWING!! daily stuff is good…art is a never-ending quest _(:3/L)_ i’ll be rooting for you!
