How would you describe their personality? Dimitri is very vindictive and dangerous. He can be cruel and unfeeling; he kills indiscriminately, not caring at all for human life. He is highly seductive and charming but also very manipulative. Highly sadistic; enjoys inflicting physical and emotional pain; likes his ‘meals’ to suffer before he enjoys them.

How long have you been writing them? About 4 years.

Do they have any fears? remembering; Dimitri has managed to push his feelings down about his deceased wife and infant so far that he has managed to convince himself that it never bothered him in the first place; he fears someone getting under his skin and making him see otherwise.

What would their favourite thing to do on a date be? He is very conventional; wining and dining, buying his date a gift; something expensive; presenting her with flowers, taking her to a posh restaurant.

Dimitri was born in St. Petersberg in Russia in 1547, during the reign of Ivan the Terrible

He was born into a noble family and is very well-mannered, well-spoken, and views those of a lower class to him to be of less importance

He was turned into a vampire when he was 30 years old

He had previously lost his wife in childbirth, and the infant who had died along with her; this had sent him into a deep, dark depression, and the only way he could make himself feel anything was to inflict pain on others

His maker admired this trait and decided to turn him - he was left alone and his maker never reappeared

He likes to travel - during his travels in America, he came across Elizabeth Wildes and became utterly besotted by her - he seduced and turned her

He is obsessed with Beth and frequently checks in on her
