Meet Cute Diary is a novel by Emery Lee, where the MC, Noah, runs a blog called MCD where he posts meet cutes that happen to trans people. I'll be writing various meet-cutes and posting them here. This is the 1st one. Hope you like it!
Meet Cute Diary (written by a fan)
It was summer break, and my mother had sent me to buy groceries. I was tired and sweaty. I hadn't gotten any sleep the previous night and was looking forward to hitting the bed when I was alone.
I reached the shop and bought everything. There was no one else except another femme with long dark hair braided into two plaits and glasses. She looked around my age, but kinda shorter.
I was about to leave when I tripped and was about to fall when the other person caught me by my arm. I looked at them and smiled. "Thanks." She said something in Tamil, which I didn't know. "Sorry, I don't know Tamil."
"Oh, okay. I asked if you were okay." I nodded. "Yes." Fast-forward 10 years later, and that was the same word I said when she knelt in front of me and asked, "Will you marry me?"
