Meet Substance Scavenger Bot. This is my entry for Allegorithmic’s #MeetMat17 Contest. My vision for this guy is a futuristic, sci-fi, scavenger bot who scours tombs, worlds and galaxies collecting substances for the best textures.
I wanted most of the textures to be subtle but I also wanted to catch people’s eyes, so a dynamic design was needed to show off the textures. I used particles, sticker painting, smart materials and every other trick that Substance Painter has. The design was inspired by Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Alien.

This is my submission for the Meet MAT: The 2017 Substance 3D Painting Contest.
I made this piece in tribute of one of the greatest characters of all time (for me, of course)! It was a pleasure to create it and work on every detail.
Following the rules of the contest, everything was made on Substance Painter. Even the renders and all these effects! I've only used Photoshop to apply the Meet MAT's watermark and Marmoset to create the Viewer.
