Safe distancing observed and mask on during our chit chat after the last resident left Meet People Session last night. Volunteers were happy that Phase 3 will begin on 28 Dec and wondered if we would be able to allow more residents to enter the centre then. We will wait for the guidelines as and when they are available. Many of our new volunteers at Meet People Session are young. They are probably younger than most residents who come to seek help. That is why we conduct training sessions to help them serve our residents better. This was held over the weekend. We are organising another session later this year for other new volunteers. Several new volunteers started at our Meet People Session recently. We had to involve them in phases due to capacity control. They would understudy an experienced volunteer for a few weeks before taking on cases themselves. Thanks to all for helping to serve our residents. We do need more volunteers who speak Malay.
