Character: Char Aznable - after reading Vol 5 of Origins, just shows how much of a cunning bad-ass he is.

Modeling Quirk: I build kits super slow and eventually move on to another kit before finishing... which is why I don't a have a lot of pictures of my kits -_- Dream kit: MG Gerbera Tetra Kai, Bandai-made Fully Transformable YF-19 from Macross Plus or an MG of any FSS mech.

A gunpla you’re proud of: None so far. I'm super critical of myself... even if I've placed in a few model competitions...

Why do you build?

because building kits is more enriching and fulfilling over buying toys. Anytime I complete a kit I feel an immense sense of accomplishment and attachment to the kits I build.

What got you started in Gundam?

My first gundam series was gundam wing but before that I have been enamored by mecha with robotech or Macross which I found to be a better franchise. I only started to appreciate Gundam after watching 08th MS team and Stardust Memories, after that, I've been pretty much been following all permutations of Gundam except Seed Destiny and AGE :P

Modeling Quirk: Obscure stuff. If some suit appears in the background of a scene that's unique in some way (equipment, colors, etc) I will want to build it. See: Gihren's Greed GM Custom, GM II Semi-Striker, Char's Zaku SRW version...

Dream kit:  Gundam GP04G in either Master Grade or High Grade. Don't care which. It needs a damn kit already.

Master Grade Tallgeese II. One of my favorite designs and I think I did it justice. :D

Why do you build?

I always built things. I grew up with LEGO and well, it was the next natural step.

What got you started in Gundam?

I saw a commercial for the Wing kits on TV back in 2000 and was like, "wow, those are cool, I want one!". Then, a friend told me about the show and well, the rest is history.

Eh, sure, why the hell not?

Name/Builder Alias: Coltan/Ascrod Age: 24 First Gunpla: 1/100 HG Sandrock Ver. Ka (which is absolute crap compared to my very recent MG Sandrock ver. Ka.)

Favorite:

Gundam Series: Endless Waltz is still one of my top favorites, but I'd have to say Crossbone Gundam (and it's sequels) for my all-time favorite, and Turn-A for my favorite anime (with the 08th MS Team as a close second).

Overall MS: Easily the Formula 97 "Crossbone" line. Don't ask me to pick a specific unit. I'm also a sucker for late U.C. stuff in general (especially the Formula line and Dessa types).

Character: It's impossible to pick just one; Quattro/Casaval (duh), Captain Ash (yay for Harlock clones), Seabook Arno/Kinkad Nau, Jamil Neate, Tobia Arronax/Curtis Rothko, and pretty much every major character from Turn-A.

Modeling Quirk: There's a few; I tend to go overboard with the panel lining, every custom paint job I do has two separate primary colors on the head (one for the "helmet" and another for the face), and it's not really a quirk yet, but given that I'm getting into resin casting it's a safe bet that many of the custom kits I build in the future will be outfitted with Shot Lancers (my favorite weapon). Dream kit: I'd love to see a MG kit for the EMS-TC02 Phantom Gundam and the Formula 90 Gundam. Even better if they're both Katoki redesigns. I'd also like to see more of the Builders Parts and weapon sets come out in 1/100 scale. A gunpla you’re proud of:  I'm mostly split between my RX-79[G] 2-3 Custom and my (WIP) F97 Seegar (which I hope to have finished by the end of the month).

Why do you build?

Because I can't own a working mecha.

What got you started in Gundam?

I caught a few episodes of Wing on Toonami back in 1999 and got hooked on the midnight uncut airings (thank God for VCRs). A few years later I stumbled across an unofficial Gundam Wing guide that included a huge explanation of all the various series and alternate universes (which at the time was up through Turn-A). It took a few more years before we had half-decent internet access for me to be able to track down all the other entries. I still have three bootleg fansub VHS tapes of the first 12 episodes of Wing from Chinatown in NYC.

Just some other quick info:

I'm a gun nut (hence the focus on making the weapons on my customs practical). I'm also addicted to animation (from anywhere in the world), love older anime, and my taste (especially in anime, guns, movies, whatever) tends to be stuck in the 1980s. All my GunPla kits tend to be built on the fly since I'm mostly self-taught and any outside resources I use on a pick-and-choose basis (though I'm trying to move away from that).

Gundam Series:  Basing purely on the series I've seen the most, which is 00, I've seen both seasons about 14 times now...

Overall MS: Stargazer Gundam

Character: Setsuna F. Seiei and Heero Yuy because I tend to relate to other people who don't talk much...

Modeling Quirk:  I like putting unnecessary decals on my Master Grades... So a lot of my MG kits have a lot more decals on than the manuals recommend... That also goes for my version Ka kits... Dream kit: Master Grade Stargazer Gundam... A gunpla you’re proud of: My MG Freedom Gundam simply because of the way I put on the dry transfer decals...

Why do you build?

Because I like Gundam models... They're just fun...

What got you started in Gundam?

Unlike many people in the west, I didn't start watching Gundam on Toonami... I started watching Gundam back in 1997 when i lived in the Philippines... The first ones I watched were Gundam Wing and G Gundam... I want to say I saw Wing first, but I'm not entirely sure...

First Gunpla:

First built was FG 1/144 Dynames, but the first I bought was HG 1/144 Exia. Dynames came in the mail before Exia. 
Favorite Gundam Series:

Gundam 00, followed by Turn A.

Favorite Overall MS:

Exia. No contest there.

Favorite Character:

I like Setsuna just because 00 was my first Gundam series. His seemingly emotionless personality is just badass. I also like Reiji from Build Fighters a lot, and Garrod is pretty likable too.

Modeling Quirk:

Physical Melee weapons. Screw beams, physical weapons like the GN Sword and Gundam hammer are the best. 
 Dream kit:

A 1/144 HG Freedom that doesn’t have shitty wings. I really wanna do a “Wings of Freedom” Gundam using the HG Wing Zero and Freedom, and I need a newer Freedom to do that. I’d also love some more MGs for 00. 
 A gunpla you’re proud of: GNY-001ES Exia Shadow. 

So my very first custom was a shitty black, silver, and red recoloring of my original HG Exia that I did when I got the HG REII. Recently, I found that old custom and revamped it. I gave it a whole new paint job as well as many more armaments. Just search “Exia Shadow” in the tags on tumblr to see it if you haven’t. 

Why do you build?

I like working with my hands. It’s always been something I’ve excelled at. I just enjoy the process of fitting the parts together and the final product just feels so rewarding.

What got you started in Gundam?:

Unlike most people in the West, I didn’t see Gundam Wing or any other Gundam series on TV since my family didn’t have cable for the longest time. My best friend since first grade, however, was into the series when he was younger, so I knew a few things about it. Way back after Christmas of 2010 GameStop was having a buy 2 get 1 free on all used games, and being that all I received for Christmas was money and gift cards, I ended up buying 6 games that day. One of them was Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2, which I picked up on a whim since I recognized Gundam from the action figures and game my friend had. It took me a few months to really get into the game enough to actually look up any of the series to watch, though. I remember watching episode 1 of Gundam 00 and falsely identifying characters from the anime as characters from DWG2 (which as everyone who’s played the game knows that no one from 00 is in DWG2).

Toonami, like all other 90's kids. Ended up watching 0079 and just fell in love with Giant robits. its been an addiction ever since
