Mega Drive Mini - Part 2
Here are some pics of the Tower of Power option set. Even though this is purely for cosmetic use, the final effect is awesome, and it stands out as probably the best looking mini console released until now. As for the emulation, games lineup ecc, you can find plenty of detailed reviews on the web, so I’ll just say M2 did a great job not only with the perfect emulation engine (built from scratch, and not just a - coughf coughf ahem Sony coughf - recycle), but also on the GUI. I loved the fact that different region/language setting brings you different games selection screen, with the Mega Drive/Genesis logo changing accordingly. Sugoi!

Honestly I didn’t think this was going to come today! I am really, really loving this art book, it has some images I’ve been looking for since the 2000s and way more that I haven’t seen. It is full of Pakistas!
Kinda wish the MD Mini came with some fun stickers or something (apart from the stock barcode) but whatever, it is adorable and has the six button controller that fits my tiny lady hands better. The Japanese one has more games I didn’t already have compared to the domestic one, plus when I ordered it I don’t think anyone knew about the language options changing ROMs. Maybe I’ll actually be able to make progress in Contra: Hard Corps!
... Probably not. But hey, it has Darius and Tetris so who the heck cares anyway?
Edit: BWAA HA HAAA I didn’t know they redrew Lecarde’s face for Castlevania Bloodlines that is absolutely hilarious. Because you can’t just have an anime prettyboy in the 90′s!
