a stipulation: neither me nor the op of the post i just reblogged are supporting death threats. i think they're a horrible thing and an unfortunate trend on social media as of late however, the (largely unprovable) allegation that someone received a real, actual death threat is too frequently used to completely shut down all meaningful and productive discussion, which imo is necessary when an artist is a pretty reprehensible person

i'm really glad i never bought dr//eam da/ddy because the stuff i'm hearing about this apparent cult ending and how it's heavily foreshadowed in even the most positive routes has me really upset i'm just. kinda hurt that they couldn't just make this a game about gay positivity they had to make it grimdark and edgy
