It had been another quiet week. She was getting used to them, and she didn't know how that sat with her; on one hand the nightmares had lessened and she didn't have to sit up all night with her eyes plastered to the shadows dancing along the walls. On the other hand she felt like she was falling into a sort of lull, allowing her defenses to wane as time crawled on. Maybe this was what the Doctor wanted, and that possibility alone only made the absence of her nightmares that much less of a victory.
She pulled her hood further over her face as she slunk into one of the backstreets, stopping only to glance at the graffiti that littered the back allies of her new home- it seemed to change everyday, the bright colors shifting into new words, images, messages that she never could quite decipher. Today it was darker, shades of grey dripping off a face drained of life, of color, eyes closed as it mourned some unknown soul. Maybe it was crying its black tears for her.
Her reverie was interrupted when a shadow crept up over the picture, swallowing her own completely. The shape of this shadow didn't- no, couldn't -belong to any person. No, it was far too big, too strange, and it had her searching for something to protect herself with. She reached out, feeling with her mind, only to find a couple of dumpsters that were too heavy for her to lift. It was no use. There wasn't anything within her Reach.
Slowly, heart beating fast and hard against her chest, Crimson turned around to stare down whatever it was behind her. Whatever noise she wanted to make caught in her throat as she came face to face with one of the biggest maws she'd ever seen in her life. And that was saying something.

A...giant lizard creature? A giant lizard creature. Luffy, naturally, is ecstatic, holding up his fists level with his shoulders in pure hype. "THIS IS SO COOL!"
DO I SMELL MEGABADBATTER ヾ(*´▽`*)ノ
The Batter leans on his bat, watching the Elsen silently and not making any noise to announce his arrival as usual. He tapped a little dirt off his cleats in the meantime.
The Elsen was simply doing his job, as every other day; he was busy carrying some bottles full of meat he had just collected from the nearest pool, his hands shaking in worry of accidentally dropping them and making a terrible mess. That did happen to him once, and it had been absolutely frightening. The simple thought of him causing anything like that again was just unbearable.
When he noticed someone watching him, though, the trembling worker froze and looked around, hoping that someone was actually observing someone else.
No such luck.
"Hhh…?"
. . .
The alchemist had spotted something big jawed.
The alchemist had wandered into some sort of strange place, having her messenger bag's strap pulled tight. It was another scary experience as she had definitely wandered way pass the forest of the magic, and maybe out of Gensokyo itself. There was no true way of knowing if she had indeed went pass the boundaries of the barrier, only that she knew this place gave her the creeps. A chill had gone up her spine whenever she had heard a sound, or thought she saw something move.
The girl's nerves were quite on end, the only thing of comfort being her messenger bag, she started to hold onto the bag itself instead of the strap, it seemed to calm her down somewhat as she traversed this strange land, she saw something in front of her that had made her heart almost leap out of place. It was a creature, though masked by the darkness. It was definitely a creature with large foreboding jaws, big enough to rip a human to pieces in mere seconds, at least that's what it looked like through the alchemist's eyes.

"Er... Well..."
Put "MARRY ME" in my ask and see how my muse responds.
