you keep trying to translate your joy, into a language they can understand, as if your peace requires a permission slip, as if the simple things that light your chest on fire, must first make sense to a crowd. stop exhausting yourself explaining your warmth, to people who prefer the cold.

if it brings you back to yourself, and breaks no heart in the process, let it be unreasonable. happiness was never meant to be a math problem, so put down the pen, and just live.

I think I’m jealous.

A friend of mine recently went through a break up. Her and her girlfriend were together for like 6 years. She told me she wasn’t going to date for a very long time. Today she told me she was getting to know someone new. I was shocked. Her and her gf have only been broken up for a month or so. Why is it so easy for other people to find “love” so soon after heartbreak but not me? Here I am 2 years after leaving my fucked up ex and I can’t seem to find anyone worth giving my time.
