Pressure Man

My entry for the Mega Man Dual OverRide Robot Master contest. He is basically half “what I would’ve totally drew as a kid” and “almost considered marine biology before choosing art school” for my design process. He was also supposed to transform into a diving sub form, and tackle the player, but I was running tight due to the holidays, that I didn’t have time to include that part. While I didn’t make it to the Top 20, but there were SO MANY fantastic designs from artists from all parts of the globe, I’m just glad that I got to take part!

(Also, any reference to a song about yellow submersibles from a band of musical bugs, is entirely coincidental.)

She is one of Dr. Edinac's main line of robot masters meant for pushing onward a better living for human society and it's future stability.

Quartz Woman was created for to be a Solar Panel Farm Management system, being connected to it she assures a stable gathering of energy following the pattern of which the sun travels. She also provides guidance on repairs to the other worker robots present on the location.

Her main weapon is: Photon Blast, a colorful ray of gathered solar energy that can harm enemies on its path shot from the quartz that surround her. It's weak if not charge, but the weaker blasts can bounce.

The choice of making her built upon quartz was for the fact that silica used in solar panels is composed of the same material as one of it's main components.

She is meticulous and very focused on her task, never failing on the job however it has lead her to be a proficient maladaptive day dreamer due to the fact the location she works at is devoid of humans being built very far off civilization on a deselote location asside from the generators and solar panels that cover her area of command. It's made her hard to communicate with, unless you try REALLY hard to get her attention from the way her AI thought pattern adapted.

Overall she is a very calm and mellow robot, it's almost impossible to anger her but it's also as hard to make her visually frightened. She enjoys scenery/sky gazing and meditating to enhance her daydreaming to combat monotony. While she dislikes physical contact due to her often charged and fragile quartz alongside a wondering mind and overcast days causing lower performance.

It's been so long to do any spriting, and surely there are many faults.

Though it was so much fun to do ;u; And kinda wanted to do this edit as to think how they would meet!

They’ve met the DLNs since Rose/Heartly meet Mega Man (Rock) and then his sister, Roll. LGNs (OC) and DLNs would get along easily.

Awhile, for the others (LGNs and DLNs) getting along as well. But not for Diamond Man and Elec Man, Either I consider them as frenemies or neutral people but sometimes awkward to each other.

I’m going to say… that Diamond Man (Marsh) is gay (also for Jewel Man too). Diamond Man and Jewel Man are considered as couple. Diamond Man has feelings for him but doesn’t know how to impress him. Also Jewel Man since he met Diamond Man in the Gem Cave where he worked before Diamond Man changed his job. He give him a nickname ‘Diamy’ that makes Diamond embarrassed, some of his siblings would laugh about it, especially the other DLNs.

Next, Hornet Man and Dandelion Woman (Dandeline), They’re both love gardening but that doesn’t mean they’re couples. They’re just friends. Hornet Man has a gentle personality and Dandelion Woman has calm but aware personality.

As for Rose/Heartly, She and Hornet Man are good friends. She watches him taking care of the plants and he let her water the plants

Last but Mega Man (Rock), Roll, and Rose/Heartly. After Mega Man 3 and before Mega Man 4 Events before getting her armor after Mega Man 4. Rose/Heartly met Mega Man (Rock) & Roll when she didn’t see them coming and ended up bumping to Roll. She’s shy of meeting new people but not always. She would give them to try one of her desserts

She views Mega Man (Rock) as a friend. She hangs him out most of the time. Both of them have a kind-hearted personality but these are the differences between them. After Mega Man 4 events. Rose/Heartly later was a combat robot, able to help Mega Man (Rock) out, thanks to Dr. Lokana Grace but she may have to suffer and getting injuries durning the next events.

Rose/Heartly and Roll are such good friends. Rose/Heartly is almost lab assistant and baker to Roll before becoming a combat robot. She and Roll hangs out mostly together and talk alot. Roll cook and Rose/Heartly bakes so They both cooking together. But no wonder why Rose/Heartly would smash the roach with her hammer? In fact, Roll hates roaches (according to CD Data), it would freak her out.

I give Rose/Heartly a new casual outfit as a remade part of this doodles. :)
