If you're not big on pokemon ocs then I got a lot of silly doodles of JUST pokemon here. I think some of these were experimenting with sona ideas but ultimately I think these just function as fun pokemon idas as well.

I think designing pokemon ocs is such a fun challenge. It feels like walking the edge of a knife, having something that feels casual but you have 1 or 2 design quirks that really make a character POP! Sometimes its hair, an accessory, a facial feature etc etc. But finding that balance of not going too over the top but also not having them look like a bg character is a problem I love solving.

Mega Dyo version 2 based on the leaks!! These were drawn right before footage came out.

I had absolutely no fucking idea what I was looking at with that eldritch monstrosity but I loved the hell out of it. I kept saying the two directions I wanted for Mega Darkrai were "really cool" or "really weird, like Mega Starmie level weird" and I think this falls so far into the latter that it loops around into the former.

I chickened out when drawing this cause I wanted Dyo to still have his legs and big juicy paws. So he's got Haunter-styled floaty hands. I couldn't tell if the leaked model had legs?? It looked like legs?? Some kinda... leg-things. But I dunno lol

Whenever I get a clearer render of the actual final design I'll draw him again!!

Lopohora, a type-swapped (Psychic/Fairy) Lopunny! She's named after Lophophora williamsii (Peyote), a cactus with hallucinogenic properties.
