Done. Cellphone is placed on his desk and he’s leaning back against his seat. Head shifts to look at the cabinets, “Okay...Let’s see what he said he needed.” So then he’s leaning over to grab his phone again to pull out the list of items on his phone, “mmmmm,”  scalpels, anesthesia....Fingers are hovering over the list and he’s slowly rising from his seat to grab the medical supplies.

After a short time, he’s got items laid out carefully across one of the tables, “Alright. Now to wait for him,” A nod and a satisfied smile. There’s nothing better than helping someone in need. Sometimes. Ah, he could go for a smoke, but holds the temptation back. He has to wait. What if he stepped out and Shinra came in and Romanus isn’t here? That wouldn’t be good. 

He’ll give the medicals a once over, making sure that he’s grabbed everything that was listed. Hell, he’s even given a few extras just in case the other would need it. He’s met Shinra Kishitani before. That was when Romanus had first arrived at Hive City. That time, Shinra did help him in some way. It was only right that he’d repay the favor, right?  Besides, the both of them were doctors. Doctors should have each others back!

He hears doors opening and will turn fully to look, “Oh, there you are. Was just thinking about you.” He greets the other with a grin, “Thought you got lost or somethin’.” He’s only messing around, of course.

“By any chance, are you a scientist?” Judging by her tone, Kurisu didn’t seem to have a hostile view of scientists like many other residents of Hive City did. Of course, that didn’t mean she was enjoying this horrible prank that she had been trapped in, but as a scientist herself...

Well, she knew not all scientists were bad people.

“Not many people wear lab coats for the sake of fashion, at least not in my experience.” She couldn’t exactly say she was an expert on pop culture or fashion, after all.

A little assistance

Three was used to it, the smell of blood.

Intoners practically bathed in it, after all. It activated an inner strength, lust upon lust, surging their bodies with unbelievable power. An ace in the hole, A black sun in the sky. A distracting shit on the bottom of a boot. But that hadn’t been her intention, this time around. This was merely an unfortunate accident and she had defended herself. But she was weak; the powers that reigned supreme made it thus. 

So it wasn’t her assaulter’s blood she had been smelling. It was her own. 

Someone had made an attempt to attack her, spewing hateful spiel on something or another involving humans... being cruel to animals? Three hadn’t been listening. All she knew was that she reacted on instinct and a second after the bat cracked against her skull, she had plunged her scissors deep within her assaulter’s stomach.

Too slow. Everyone always said she was. Now she agreed with them.  She made a feeble attempt at wiping the blood from her nose, her head swirling in pain and dizziness as she walked away from the writhing lump behind her. Not too far away, a mirage in white seemed to step closer and closer.

“... You.” She blinked slowly, her gait barely keeping together. “Help me.”

“Well it too for too long my fellow!” With that Okabe gestured to the man across from him, both of them now dressed in white lab coats. “Finally, someone who understands the scientific arts, and who dons the armour that only us select few may wear.” With that he shoved his hands into his lab coat pockets and smiled. 

“Hououin Kyouma. Holder of the right eye of Reading Steiner. And you my fellow of the scientific arts?”

         ❝ Oh dear -- I’m terribly sorry! ❞ He had grown accustomed to having a sword and shield on his back, but not a wooden one or a...interesting metallic like lid for a shield. It was different from his usual sword and shield but there on his back they would keep their place. Unfortunately, the city had some pretty cramped areas that would make them bump into others and cause some sort of disaster he noticed. Perhaps he should consider just wandering about without them from now on if he went to sectors such as this for shopping.

      ❝ Here, allow me to help. ❞ He’d say as he knelt down to pick up the items that had fallen to the ground in a hurry so that none of it would be stepped on. Standing back up he would hand them back to their rightful owner with a very apologetic look on his face. ❝ Nothing damaged I pray. This sector can be a bit cramped with people it appears. Weapons aren’t very good to carry around here I suppose. ❞

      The Elezen would admit though, he would rather keep his weapons on his person. Who knows when he would have to jump into the fray to help someone, he would rather be prepared than not. It could be just his sense of duty talking, but he really did want to be able to help others if the time called for it randomly. There wasn’t much he could do if it was just his fists.

“That is true, so just because I had eggs for breakfast today, a new Shinra was made that had cereal or something like that. So you are correct, there is truly infinite Shirnas. Though you are wrong! My love for Celty is greater!”
