Meg has to gently pull him down to come within kissing distance of his face, her being so short compared to him. But when she does, her lips press and move against his gently. It's been too long since she's kissed him, honestly.

Sam wasn’t expecting the kiss, but her lips are always welcome on him. He kneels down to make things easier on the both of them; still being somewhat taller. It was nice. Though it still didn’t stop the pain in his chest. Today was just a horrible day in general. He leans into the kiss, his lips quivering against hers; the tears starting to streak down his cheeks. It wasn’t his intention to cry, but the gentle kiss was enough to open him up.

This early his voice is a deep rumble, felt as much as it is heard. “---Good morning, love.”
