0.1. Megaphobema robustum
Megaphobema robustum, juvenile female.
For me one of the most beautiful tarantulas I know. Most people seem to go in for blue spiders, but I just love this coloring. It’s all the more unfortunate that she is the prototypical pet hole. I used the opportunity when I rehoused her after a recent molt to get at least a couple of pictures.

Megaphobema mesomelas! I got two!!! They are still so tiny (2. instar, that’s a bottle cap). Since a few people (including the vendor) told me, that they are kind of difficult to raise I went all bioactive for their box with moss and isopods and springtails and leaf litter. First thing the little shit did was eating an isopod. NO! That’s your cleaning crew, not your food! I was going to give you a mini cricket but I thought you might want a day to settle and get used to your new surroundings. No? Oh, well. It later ate the cricket, too.
These are by far the most expensive spiderlings I ever bought. But soooo cute!
