Oof, so here are the first headshots of everyone from my Megapocalypse story (excluding one, The Bully character that was created later). I also have two random sketches of two chars where I tried developing them a little better. The order they’re in is not by clique, but by a song I tried to base an Inktober around, cries. I only got a few of em, pictures of those will be posted after this (I do like em, I just got lazy and didn’t finish ;w; i am my own worst enemy.) I am working on making better reference sheets for all of them, and am almost done with the Goths. The designs you see here are not final, they are first draft. Calcium’s in particular doesn’t sit well with me, my boy is going in a diff direction :,3 That goes for everyone’s nicknames as well. Some are just too cringe o-o”
Megapocalypse Idea Outline
Lololol the name sounds so lame but it’s what stuck XD This is the definition of my teenage fantasies molding itself to a young adult book series. Though oddly enough, this big old universe started with the simple sudden mental image of hippies fighting zombies. Lololol how far I came XDDD
The basic idea: A sudden Armageddon occurs and most of the population of a big city disappears mysteriously, except for a few groups of teens from different schools. Left alone, the teens begin grouping up, trying to figure out what to do. They are cut off from the world thanks to a strange bubble encircling the city, and as time goes on, peculiar events keep happening in waves. While it seemed random at first, a schedule becomes clear with enough repetition. Every half of a month, a new event occurs that they need to survive, including werewolf outbreaks, souls breaking loose from the afterlife, witches materializing, etc. Weird shit keeps happenin lol
The teens are initially very divided due to their social groups clashing with one another. They don’t all find each other immediately, as they come from schools all around the city, but they do eventually meet up. The cliques I have incorporated are:
The Cheerleaders The Jocks The Rich Preps The Delinquents The Hipsters
The Goths The Weeaboos The Nerds The Party Animals The Gamers
Then there are two kids who represent their own distinct groups: The Religious, and The Loner.
Tbh these labels are very much not all encompassing, and their members mix and match almost immediately after the first month. Overall, there is a total of 40 chars. That is quite a lot hahaa. Cries. How I keep a tab on everyone and remember their details…. Can only be explained with how often I forget my daily schedule XD
Hmmm… there’s a lot to be said for the characters, one by one, but this is a general overview of the universe and story. This Armageddon that occurred is unexplainable to them. One day, they were in school as usual, when suddenly, everyone but them vanished. This occurs near the end of August, just as a new schoolyear was about to start. They have a week till September starts, a week with no events occurring. Just them alone in their groups, checking their surroundings, finding one another, and beginning to realize the situation they’re in. They fracture off to their own areas, not able to decide what to do, or who is in charge, when September brings their first event, and they are forced to work together for the first time.
