Canon divergent in the Feudal Era is definitely something I'm rusty on, but I did enjoy the challenge of piecing together what I could make it. It's been a rough year, so I wanted to focus on slice of life, fluff, and just the sense of being home.

The movie on the screen in front of them – some stupid thing with zombies, or vampires; or maybe it was zombies and vampires – had stopped holding his attention the minute the girl in the seat next to him showed up, fifteen minutes into the movie and looking as hot and miserable as he’d been before escaping his overheated apartment and coming here.
Rey – she’d introduced herself as Rey in a loud whisper as she took her seat – told him she hadn’t had time to grab popcorn. “Could I have a handful?” she asked, nodding at his extra large bag. “I’m starving.”
Ben couldn’t see her – or anything else for that matter – very well in the gloom of the theater. But he’d have to be blind not to see how pretty she was, how gorgeously her short shorts showed off her shapely legs, and how her lips turned up into a broad smile as she spoke.
He swallowed nervously before answering her. “Um. Sure,” he said, nudging the popcorn towards her. He hoped he sounded casual, and wished like hell he’d had even a fraction of this girl’s confidence.
As the terrible movie continued, their hands brushed repeatedly inside the bag of popcorn – and Ben had never been so grateful in his life for hot days and his apartment’s broken air conditioner.

Give love today
For the gishwhes give love today, I have chosen to nominate one of my best friends ever, @megara09. The reason Meg is my chosen one, is because while I live in Lebanon, the middle east, and she lives in the states, Meg has been there for me more than anyone I know. When we first met, Meg had her own set if values and thoughts, and so did I, but together we learned from each other and she has proven to me over and over again that I shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Meg is so precious and special. She is always praying for me, always supporting me in any endeavor I might throw myself into. Her advices are the best I have ever received, and she has never steered me wrong. She always has my best interest at mind, and is always helping me to get better, and become better. I struggle with mental illness, specifically Borderline Personality Disorder, and my own family doesn't understand me the way Meg does. She's always there to listen to my anxious rants, always around to stop me from any reckless behavior I might attempt and she is always accepting of me. While Meg and I are so different from each other, but I have never met someone so accepting in my life. I don't really know how yo describe her best, because ultimately words fail me when it comes to her. She's the sweetest person ever, most caring, most accepting, and most tolerant. I really hope that one day I will be able to meet her and give her a gigantic hug, to say thank you for the past two years of friendship.
There are friends, and there are friends like @megara09. You'd be too lucky to know someone like her. Believe me, I'm the luckiest.
