#MonsterMarch Day 12: #Megalon Re-imagining kaiju can be tough. I do my best to keep the "man in suit" appearance, and I try to stay away from the "giant animal" look (with some exceptions). Also, as with most kaiju, their original designs are great 😭. My Megalon here, I made some or a few tweaks lol. Bulked up his upper half and back a bit, gave him a dung beetle type horn, added other beetle features to the head, and sort of redesigned the drill hands. I thought about making each hand a full drill, buuut I couldn't take away from the whole "combine both hands to make a full drill" thing lol. . . .
