my phone had a funny error when i got the notification that the doa patron updated tonight

instead of the correct text it was a message my wife had sent a little earlier about a book series she's reading

and uh actually that text works surprisingly well

whenever i say "bye" to someone, i don't say "bye" or "goodbye" or "see ya" or "catch ya later" like a normal person. No.

I say "Bye forever!!" with as much genuine enthusiasm as I can muster!

this started as a joke between me and my wife, and like so many jokes with her and i. just, never stopped

aaaanyway

i've been saying this often enough around my friends that it's starting to pick up with them, and they'll sometimes end conversations (at least when i'm around) by saying "bye forever!!!"

i'm very glad to have infected them with this particular phrasing, but i can go further. so now that you've read it you've been infected too. You're welcome. So start saying it to everyone all the time!!

I just learned the word "overmorrow" which is an actual english word that means "the day after tomorrow"

It used to be quite common, but fell out of common usage because???

Anyway I think this word is great and cute and whimsical, and also just useful and I'm going to be adding it to my regular vocabulary. I encourage you to spread it among everyone you know!

if i win the lottery i'm gonna buy advertising space in times square and it's just gonna be a video feed for an absurdly long countdown timer like 29 years or some shit, with something ominous like "you are not ready" or "your preparations will be futile" written under the timer

i'll pay for it through some shell company that can't be traced back to me or any real individual and give that company an equally ominous name like "endtimes inc." or whatever

when the countdown ends the screen cuts to black for 20 minutes or so

then it just rickrolls everyone

a few years ago i was laying in bed with my wife (fiancée at the time) trying to sleep, as you do. we were both mostly asleep but still just awake enough to be aware of the outside world

and uh, i was a bit gassy. and we got over the "i can't fart around my partner" phase of our relationship pretty early and also i was tired, so whatever

my wife, still half asleep, then rolls over to me, smacks my butt and says "go back in"

a couple seconds pass as we both process what she just said, and then we start laughing so hard that we woke ourselves up completely

we still occasionally quote "go back in" to this day

sometimes when i'm sick i feel like i have an angel and devil on my shoulder, and the angel will tell me "hey don't do that yer sick" and then the devil will say "yer sick not dead" anyway the devil won as usual
