Right?? It's been a while since I've been genuinely thrilled by canon Fate content. Both his flashbacks and legacy fragments were extremely cool to watch. The casual affection!! The solemn grief of his companions! The coin with his portrait!

Apologies for reblorping the old art, I somehow fell down the old tag rabbit hole and was looking at gosh, a whole host of ancient aph art (including all your old Carthage stuff.) I feel old realizing that was a decade ago.

You know I don't mind that at all. <3 I saw the Etruria drawing going around again and was like 'oh that looks kinda odd' but then I had to remind myself that it was done 10 years ago and I was still a baby doing art (tbh I still am baby....) It was really nice looking at it again, though. So thanks! 🥺 ;v;

The author of Gideon the Ninth got their start in fandom, and was specifically well known in Homestuck fandom if I recall correctly.

Granted, I've never read Homestuck (nor Homestuck fanfic) so I couldn't tell you how that resonates through their work, but that's cool to know! More and more traditionally published authors are talking fondly about their fanfic days and it's honestly super neat!

I’m afraid you... don’t :( The whole charm of it is that it uses a lot of puns and modern French slang, so while I've seen some attempts to translate the general meaning of the dialogues, they lose about 80% of what makes the whole thing hilarious. Someone made an okay translation of the very first episodes (Ep1 with Arthur, Leodegrance and Percival acting as scouts, Ep3 with the knights trying to figure out who’s the mysterious Knight of Provence) and there is a little trailer with dramatic music, but that’s about all I’ve seen that is not predominantly terrible... And of course, it’s one of these series that start with a very lighthearted mood to better destroy you later on. Sorry!! I’ll keep an eye open in case that changes!
