my surgery is tomorrow :))) this has been such a long fucking journey but the beginning of the end starts tomorrow!

from fighting to advocate for myself to finally getting diagnosed, then medically inducing menopause so i could better manage my symptoms while on the surgery waiting list.

years of this is coming to an end!!!! my bowling ball sized tumour will be removed tomorrow (among other things)

i still can't believe it's finally happening.... it doesn't feel real. even when the hospital called me today to tell me what time to show up tomorrow it still doesn't feel REAL!

day 2 post op. exhausted shuffling around my apartment but good movement levels for what day it is. progress is progress :)

went to the sea yesterday, her cold north atlantic wind pinked my cheeks, and i love her for it.

okay so i am starting heated rivalry. i am 4 minutes in. i may get wordy about this because it's been a minute since a canadian show has taken over my dash like this.

i am a canadian with a younger brother who played competitive minor league hockey, i also love letterkenny, which is a canadian comedy show you MUST watch if you haven't already!

jacob tierney, the creator of the show, also does letterkenny. so i am going into this with high canadiana standards

4 minutes 10 seconds in and the canadian-ness is fully on display. i love it so much when you can tell it's a canadian show created by canadians. the accents are on point, talking about saturday night hockey making you feel canadian. and we're less than 5 minutes in!

sharing something that you're proud of because you've done something you haven't done in a long time (used the kitchen to "cook" instead of doing takeout or freezer/microwave premade meals) and then the person you share it with just says "is that <ingredient>? that's really unhealthy" cool thanks i feel like garbage now. thanks.

week before surgery week BEFORE SURGERY!!!!!! the hospital did NOT call me today to reschedule !!! which is good because monday is when they called me last time!!

the airline i usually fly with had a sale - i'm going home for like a month over the holidays!!! i have to go breathe in that sea air and just walk myself into the ocean to fix myself. or we may do a day trip to cape breton or something. or i may see if i can figure out the logistics to meet up with my bff in pei. so many possibilities. maritimes i love you

i've never been in a fandom like this for a rollout like this, am i just constantly going to be on edge??? is this my life now?!
